TCS Digital Hub Set to Transform Technocity by 2026

Thiruvananthapuram is set to reach a major milestone in its technology growth with the upcoming inauguration of the TCS Digital Hub at Technopark Phase IV (Technocity). The first phase is scheduled to be inaugurated in February 2026 by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, with the official date expected soon. The launch is likely to attract industry leaders and policymakers from across the country.

Project Scale and Infrastructure
The TCS Digital Hub is being developed across nearly 94 acres within the 389-acre Technopark Phase IV campus. The first phase, built by Tata Projects Ltd, includes two blocks with a combined built-up area of over one million square feet. The facility features modern office spaces, research labs, and collaboration zones. TCS has invested an estimated ₹1,200-₹1,500 crore in the project, underlining its long-term commitment to Kerala’s tech ecosystem.

Technology Focus and Innovation
The Digital Hub is designed as a next-generation innovation centre rather than a conventional IT campus. Its key focus areas include:
• Artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data analytics
• Robotics, aerospace engineering, and defence technologies
• Blockchain, IoT, and advanced digital engineering solutions
Tata Elxsi is also expected to set up a digital development centre within the campus.

What Does This Mean for Jobs and Technocity Development?
The TCS Digital Hub will support employment and the broader Technocity vision. Operations will begin in phases, with full-scale activities expected by May 2026.
• Around 6,200 professionals in the initial phase
• Workforce capacity exceeding 21,000 after completion
• Technocity also includes the Digital Science Park, QUAD township, and a deep-tech startup hub

Conclusion
The TCS Digital Hub will strengthen Technopark Phase IV as a major centre for innovation and high-value employment, reinforcing Thiruvananthapuram’s position as a future-ready technology hub.
