A Peaceful Hilltop Escape in Trivandrum

Madavoorpara is a quiet hill viewpoint located in the Madavoor - Kazhakuttam area, around 10 km from Thiruvananthapuram city. Rising about 300 feet above sea level, it offers wide views of greenery and distant cityscapes. The main highlight is a 9th-century rock-cut Shiva temple with inscriptions in Vattezhuthu, an ancient Malayalam script. Protected by the Department of Archaeology, the site holds strong historical and cultural value.

A 100-meter bamboo bridge leads to the top, adding a unique experience for visitors. The hill also features bamboo huts, a small park for children, and a sacred pond called Ganga Theertham. The area is calm, with bird sounds and cool winds, making it ideal for relaxing, light trekking, and evening visits.
