Agasthyarkoodam, standing at 1,868 meters, is the second-highest peak in Kerala. It forms part of the Agasthyamala Biosphere Reserve and is deeply linked to Indian mythology. The peak is believed to be the residence of Sage Agastya, a revered figure associated with Ayurveda and ancient science.
The region is known for its rare medicinal plants and untouched forest ecosystems. Trekking here is strictly regulated to protect its ecological and spiritual value.
